How much vanilla do I need?

We like the Co-op formula for homemade vanilla extract because it’s a tiny bit stronger than the FDA formula.
But you can play around with it, adding a little less or a little more. Vodka yields a pure, clean vanilla taste, while whiskey, especially bourbon, adds sweet, smoky, or complex notes to the extract.
