Shipping to Canada
We ship vanilla beans across Canada. Shipping is free on orders of $90 or more, and free means UPS in about 3 working days. On smaller orders shipping is not free, and we would rather show you the numbers here than surprise you at the last step of checkout.
What shipping to Canada costs
The price depends mostly on how much your parcel weighs. Your exact price shows at checkout as soon as you enter your city.

How long it takes
On orders of $90 or more UPS Expedited is free and checkout selects it for you, so a 1 lb bag reaches most Canadian addresses in about 3 working days at no shipping cost. Economy delivery is free on those orders too, but it takes 14 to 21 working days, which is two to four weeks on the calendar. On smaller orders economy is the cheapest option and UPS Expedited is usually only a couple of dollars more, so checkout shows you both. UPS Expedited takes about 3 working days and UPS Saver about 2. On a $39 order they cost about $14 and $36.
Duties and taxes
Any customs charge, duty or tax on your parcel is the customer’s responsibility. We do not prepay them. In practice we expect there to be nothing to pay: vanilla beans enter Canada duty-free, and food is not normally taxed at the border. But that call belongs to the Canada Border Services Agency and not to us, so we will not promise you a number we do not control. If you are ever asked for a fee, email us before you pay it and we will help you sort it out.
Prices are in U.S. dollars
Every price on our site, and your total at checkout, is in U.S. dollars. Your card converts it to Canadian dollars at its own rate.
Making a small order worth it
On a small order, shipping can cost as much as the vanilla. A larger size spreads that cost, and at $90 or more shipping is free, by UPS in about 3 working days. Or buy small packs together. Packs of 2 oz and under earn 15% off for two and 20% for three or more, whether you mix the vanillas or take several of one. The discount comes off in your cart with no code.
Returns from Canada
Our first-order guarantee covers Canada. If you do not love your vanilla, we refund the price of the vanilla on your first order (up to 1 lb, within 2 months). Shipping is not refundable.
