Uganda has emerged over the past decade as one of the most exciting vanilla origins in the world. The climate and soil in the country’s growing regions produce beans with a naturally high vanillin content — and our producer has spent the last six years working directly with local farmers to push that vanillin level even further, resulting in a more intense, more complex flavor than most Uganda vanilla on the market.

The practical result: these beans are exceptionally plump, pliable, and loaded with fine black caviar seeds. If you are making a dessert where vanilla bean flecks are part of the presentation — ice cream, panna cotta, crème brulee — this is the bean to reach for.

Flavor Profile

Bold and rich vanilla with unmistakable notes of figs and raisins. Earthy and substantial, with more intensity than a standard Bourbon vanilla. The high vanillin content means a little goes a long way.
