Description
Bold, Plump, and Packed with Caviar
Uganda has emerged over the past decade as one of the most exciting vanilla origins in the world. The climate and soil in the country’s growing regions produce beans with a naturally high vanillin content — and our producer has spent the last six years working directly with local farmers to push that vanillin level even further, resulting in a more intense, more complex flavor than most Uganda vanilla on the market.
The practical result: these beans are exceptionally plump, pliable, and loaded with fine black caviar seeds. If you are making a dessert where vanilla bean flecks are part of the presentation — ice cream, panna cotta, crème brulee — this is the bean to reach for. For a deeper look at origins, grades, and what to look for when shopping, see our guide on buying vanilla beans.
Flavor Profile
Bold and rich vanilla with unmistakable notes of figs and raisins. Earthy and substantial, with more intensity than a standard Bourbon vanilla. The high vanillin content means a little goes a long way. Learn more about this origin on our Uganda vanilla beans page.
