MADAGASCAR RED SPLITS
"Best Quality Extract Beans on the Market!"
We have just gotten in a new shipment including a large quantity of “red split” Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans. These absolutely phenomenal, exceptionally long
Extract Grade beans have an especially high vanillin content, having been left on the vines so long before picking that the pod ends
have split from the profusion of seeds, or “caviar” inside. They have then been cured and dried specifically for making
vanilla extract - the reddish-brown hue of the beans being characteristic of Madagascar Bourbon planifolia vanilla beans when
they are dried down to extract grade moisture content.
In our opinion, these are the finest extract-grade vanilla beans
you will find on the market anywhere - bar none!

“Red Split” Vanilla Beans
XXL EXTREME!™
CRAZY XX LONG
EXTRACT-GRADE VANILLA BEANS
[18.5cm - 21+cm lengths * ]
You Have Never Seen Beans Like This
They Are UNBELIEVABLE!!
We still have remaining in stock from our last shipment some EXTREMELY long, extract-grade red split vanilla beans, with lengths from 7¼ inches long to over 8½ inches long.
Our Madagascar source informs us an independant testing lab has verified a vanillin content in these beans (the substance in the beans that gives the vanilla planifolia/Bourbon variety its characteristic flavor)
of close to 2%, which is by far one of the best readings we have seen in several years (a reading of 1.5% is considered “good”). We are offering these extraordinary beans for a limited time, until we run out.

Lengths and Beans Per Pound:
Our super premium quality Madagascar Bourbon Extra/Super Long “red split” beans are very long by extract-grade standards, ranging from 16.5cm - 18cm lengths (~ 6½"- 7+"),
and extremely high in vanillin content. The beans in our recent shipment are loose/unbundled and unstraightened, so they are not
the “prettiest beans on the block” *, but their flavor can't be beat!
Because the lengths and particularly the moisture content vary in these
Super Premium Extract Grade vanilla beans, we cannot precisely gauge how many beans you will get per pound.
We can guarantee you will get more extract grade vanilla beans per pound than for gourmet beans —as much as double
the number— because the extract grade beans have a lower moisture content, and therefore each vanilla bean weighs less than a similar
size gourmet bean. When making homemade vanilla extract, you should go by the weight of the beans
per volume of liquid, not the number of beans.

- Superior Quality “TK” Grade
Extract Vanilla Beans - Uganda
[14cm - 16cm lengths]
These superior quality, “TK” grade vanilla beans from Uganda
are from the same source as our flagship UGANDA GOLD™ Vanilla Beans;
they are just slightly shorter in length and a bit drier (at 25% moisture, which is slightly higher than more standard, extract grade B beans).
That means you can expect all the deep, concentrated flavor of Ugandan planifolia vanilla beans, plus you will get a few more beans per lb.
These outstanding beans will make a superior quality extract, either on their own or blended with extract beans from other origins.
And they are at an attractive price point compared to their longer, premium Euro-TK cousins.

Lengths and Beans Per Pound: Our premium quality Ugandan TK grade extract beans range
in length from 14cm - 16cm (~ 5½" - 6¼+"). Because the
lengths and particularly the moisture content vary in these Extract Grade 1 vanilla beans, we cannot precisely gauge
how many beans you will get per pound. We can guarantee you will get more extract
grade vanilla beans per pound than for gourmet beans—perhaps as much as double the number—because TK grade beans have a lower moisture content,
and therefore each vanilla bean weighs less than a similar size gourmet bean.
When making homemade vanilla extract, you should generally go
by the weight of the beans per volume of liquid, not the number of beans.
OUR HIGH QUALITY EXTRACT GRADE 1 VANILLA BEANS
FROM INDONESIA
These terrific, extract grade 1 vanilla beans
come from Indonesia, where the quality has improved
so much over the years that their annual world exports are now approaching those of Madagascar. These very high-quality beans
are the same planifolia-variety vanilla beans as so-called Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar—so they have the same
super-high-quality flavor profile in an extraction-grade bean. With their lower moisture content, the beans even weigh less,
so you get more beans per pound. Compare our premium quality specifications with the very short, low-quality extract-grade beans being offered
on some “high volume/super discount price” websites. If you want the best, buy from Amadeus!!

Try the Exotic Flavor of Tahitian Vanilla Beans!
We are thrilled to be able to offer these Premium-Quality Grade B (Extract) Tahitian-type beans for
making homemade
vanilla extract. These vanilla beans are grown in Papua New Guinea
(PNG) and
are a high-quality, but far-lower-cost alternative to Tahitian tahitensis beans.
These superb beans are relatively long lengths (16cm - 19+cm ~ 66¼" - 7½+") – unlike most very short Grade B beans carried by other suppliers–
and have that exotic island flavor that is unique to vanilla tahitensis beans. They are prized by
gourmet chefs for their fragrant, somewhat fruity flavor profile. Try making your home made vanilla extract with our PNG tahitensis
beans for a fabulous complement to your baking or pastry recipes. Or mix with our Madagascar Bourbon Red Split
vanilla beans to make your own blended vanilla extracts or vanilla sugar–they are phenomenal!

Why Buy Extract Grade Vanilla Beans?
Planning to make your own, homemade extract? Extract-grade beans are somewhat drier than our gourmet beans, averaging 10% - 20% moisture content,
as opposed to the 30-35% moisture content of our gourmet beans. As a result, each bean weighs less, so you get more beans per lb. The Premium Extract-grade vanilla beans we feature here are the top grade of beans
used for manufacturing purposes. These are the same quality we use to make our own premium,
certified organic vanilla extracts.
Our extract-grade beans are somewhat dry, of mixed lengths and some may have a few blemishes - so they have little aroma, and may not be the “prettiest” beans on the block. You may also find some “splits” (that is, they have been on the vine so long that they have split open from the profusion of seeds inside). Don't worry, all this is normal! In fact, they actually have more-concentrated flavor, which is exactly what you want in extract-grade beans. So, if you are thinking of making your own home made pure vanilla extract or vanilla sugar using one of our vanilla recipes, then these vanilla beans would be the perfect choice!
The worldwide vanilla harvest was good last (2023) year,
and prices are stabilizing at somewhat lower levels than past years.
